Gorgeous morning at Mertasari: arrived at seven (was up very late watching the exciting finish to the open at St Andrews (where then student HYPERLINK "https://www.facebook.com/susijohnston"Susi Johnston saw her first dirty dangling sporran, while studying Forensic Psychology) and found Ketut, the brother of my trusty PA, Kadek Wirawan, whose photo I had taken at his tooth-filing ten years ago (photo later). Today he was a vision of sartorial excellence — he had teamed his bait-box with the flame motif on his T-shirt — and was going out on a sampan with a sidekick. In the vicinity was a gaggle of Bali-born Muslim selfinistas from Denpasar, originally from Klaten, and my favourite slightly gaga photo model, Made Dodo, with his Alsatians.
